Se anuncian los nominados a los premios BAFTA 2018

Resulta habitual que las entregas de premios a lo mejor de cada año en la industria del videojuego se realicen a finales de cada año. Sin embargo, hay algunas ceremonias de éste tipo que tienen lugar en los primeros meses del año siguiente. Prestigiosas e importantes galas para premiar a los mejores juegos del año 2017 están teniendo lugar durante los primeros meses de 2018 y el próximo 12 de abril la Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y de la Televisión (BAFTA, por sus siglas en inglés) celebrará su evento para reconocer a las grandes obras del pasado año. En la antesala a dicho evento, la mencionada BAFTA ha anunciado los títulos que se disputarán los premios en cada categoría.

Destaca que el juego con más nominaciones es Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, que se hace presente en nueve categorías. Horizon: Zero Dawn cuenta con ocho nominaciones, What Remains of Edith Finch consiguió siete, mientras The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild obtuvo cinco, todos ellos presentes en la contienda por Juego del Año; categoría en la que también aparecen Assassin’s Creed Origins y Super Mario Odyssey. Además de dichos títulos, también destaca que Gorogoa cuenta con cinco nominaciones.

Por su parte en la categoría dedicada al apartado artístico aparecen en lista Cuphead, Gorogoa Hellbalde: Senua’s Sacrifice, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild y Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Mientras que por el Juego en Evolución compiten Clash Royale, Final Fantasy XV, Fortnite, Overwatch, PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS y Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.

Los nominados nos dejan una lista muy interesante y nos recuerda lo espectacular que fue a nivel de lanzamientos el 2017. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Horizon: Zero Dawn y The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild son los favoritos a ser los grandes ganadores del evento. Destaca que además de las conocidas categorías en éste tipo de evento; también se incluye una categoría denominada Juego Más Allá del Entretenimiento, en la cual se busca premiar a los títulos que abordan temáticas más complejas a nivel social. Los nominados para la mencionada categoría son: Bury Me, My Love, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Last Day of June, Life Is Strange: Before the Storm, Night in the Woods y Sea Hero Quest VR.

El evento tendrá lugar el próximo 12 de abril y no se ha confirmado la hora del mismo, pero se sabe que podrá seguirse mediante plataformas como YouTube, Mixer o Twitch. A continuación os dejamos con la lista completa de los nominados.
